Oil Falls Below $100 a Barrel

Crude oil fell below $100 a barrel in early trading Thursday, on concern that a U.S. economic slowdown will curb demand, Bloomberg reported.
Benchmark light sweet crude futures fell to as low as $98.65 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, just two days after closing at $109.42 a barrel, Bloomberg said.
Oil has dropped 11% this week, after setting a closing price record of $110.33 a barrel last Thursday on the Nymex.
